Published Clinical Trials
A Phase 1 clinical trial of CNDO-109 activated haploidentical NK cells has been conducted in the United Kingdom in patients with high risk (i.e. chemo-sensitive relapsed/refractory) AML who were not eligible for a stem cell transplant. Although the clinical trial was not randomized and included only seven patients, most of these high-risk patients had remission durations and overall survival that were much greater than expected based on their poor risk factors. The principal adverse event observed in this Phase 1 clinical trial was prolonged aplasia with reduction of the red cell, white cell, and platelet counts, which were managed successfully with hospitalization, transfusions, prophylactic antibiotics, and administration of cytokines for hematopoietic stimulation.
